We are seeking a skilled and passionate Indian Tandoor Kebab and Curry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in preparing traditional Indian dishes, particularly tandoori kebabs and various curries. The cook will be responsible for creating authentic and flavorful dishes, maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and Cook Dishes:
- Prepare, marinate, and cook a variety of tandoori kebabs, such as chicken tikka, seekh kebabs, and paneer tikka.
- Cook a wide range of Indian curries, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, ensuring authenticity and quality.
- Utilize traditional Indian cooking techniques and equipment, such as tandoor ovens and spice grinders.
- Ingredient Management:
- Select, measure, and combine ingredients according to recipes and personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients, including spices, meats, vegetables, and dairy products.
- Kitchen Operations:
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Monitor food stock and report inventory levels to the kitchen manager or head chef.
- Menu Development:
- Assist in developing and refining menu items, offering suggestions for new dishes or improvements to existing ones.
- Keep up-to-date with culinary trends and incorporate them into the menu where appropriate.
- Customer Satisfaction:
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and presented attractively.
- Accommodate special dietary requests and preferences as needed.
- Proven experience as a cook specializing in Indian cuisine, particularly tandoori kebabs and curries.
