Job Summary:

We are looking for a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our restaurant team. The Host/Hostess will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they have a warm welcome and a positive dining experience from start to finish. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, the ability to multitask, and a welcoming demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guest Reception: Greet guests as they enter the restaurant and thank them as they leave.
• Seating Management: Manage reservations and walk-in guests, efficiently seating them according to availability and preferences.
• Waitlist Handling: Maintain and manage a waitlist, providing accurate wait time estimates and ensuring guests are comfortable.
• Phone Management: Answer incoming calls, manage reservations, and respond to inquiries about the restaurant and menu.
• Table Preparation: Ensure that tables are set up properly and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
• Customer Service: Provide guests with menus, introduce specials, and assist with any immediate needs or requests.
• Coordination: Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of service.
• Problem Resolution: Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Special Accommodations: Assist guests with special needs or accommodations, ensuring a comfortable dining experience for all.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a customer service role preferred, especially in a restaurant setting.

Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
• Basic computer skills for managing reservations and waitlists.
• Attributes: Friendly, welcoming, and professional demeanor.
