: Tamil Captain

Location: Tandoori Tamashaa, Ilara Hotels & Spa

Department: Food & Beverage (Fine Dining Restaurant)

Reports To: Restaurant Manager

Role Summary

The Tamil Captain will lead the floor operations at Tandoori Tamashaa, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining smooth restaurant operations. The ideal candidate is fluent in Tamil and English, has a strong understanding of fine dining service standards, and excels in team leadership and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Guest Experience:
• Welcome guests warmly and ensure they are seated comfortably.
• Address guest needs and concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction.
• Manage guest reservations and table allocations efficiently.
• Operational Management:
• Supervise and guide the service team, ensuring adherence to fine dining standards.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team for seamless service flow.
• Ensure all areas of the restaurant are clean, organized, and meet brand standards.
• Team Leadership:
• Train and mentor stewards and hostesses to maintain service excellence.
• Assign and monitor tasks, ensuring team efficiency and motivation.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate daily goals and updates.
• Reporting:
• Maintain daily reports on guest feedback, sales, and operations.
• Assist the Restaurant Manager in inventory management and staff scheduling.

Qualifications & Skills

• Fluent in Tamil and English (additional languages are a plus).
• 2+ years of experience in a fine dining restaurant, preferably as a Captain or similar role.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service, including multi-cuisine and Tandoor items.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle guest concerns tactfully.
