Position Overview: As a Captain at The Bakehouse, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests. You will oversee the smooth operation of the dining room, ensuring that service standards are consistently met or exceeded. Your deep knowledge of Continental, European, and Fusion cuisines will guide you in providing informed recommendations and delivering personalized service to our patrons.
Key Responsibilities:
•Guest Experience•
• Welcome guests warmly and assist them in making menu choices.
• Provide detailed descriptions of dishes, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Ensure timely and accurate order-taking and delivery of food and beverages
•Service Excellence•
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of waitstaff to ensure prompt and courteous service.
• Monitor dining room ambiance, cleanliness, and overall guest satisfaction.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, aiming for swift resolution.
•Menu Knowledge•
• Have a thorough understanding of the restaurant's menu offerings, including specials and seasonal dishes.
• Stay updated on ingredients and allergens to provide accurate information and cater to dietary restrictions.
•Operational Support•
• Conduct opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and ensuring the cleanliness of the dining area.
• Monitor inventory levels of supplies and communicate needs to management.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Captain, Head Waiter, or similar role in a fine dining or upscale casual dining environment.
• In-depth knowledge of Continental, European, and Fusion cuisines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
