Job description Role : Restaurant Captain Role Definition Captain is the key sales person responsible for revenew generation to the restaurant by building a good brand image, giving humble and quality service to the customers. Responsibility Deliverable: 1. Monitoring and management of the restaurant setup coordinating with the waiters.
2. Customer interaction and taking orders for better sales.
3. Learning, traing and developing down line staffs. Tasks & Activities: 1. Monitoring and management of the restaurant setup coordinating
  • Inspect all the check points required for the restaurant service operation and Ensure all junior staffs have been properly groomed & Dressed.
  • Check the food counter setup and taste each and every item for taste consistency and rectify if any.
  • Get update on the menu availability & todays special from kitchen team.
  • Weekly once verify the cutlery & crockery stock. And conduct deep cleaning section wise.
  • Conduct daily briefing to the junior staffs before 19:00. for 10 minutes on what they did well, correction in general and a motivation with some service at the End.
  • End the day by ensuring that the restaurant ligths are turned off, clearing tables, side station and floor. Submit the required day end report to the manager.
2. Customer interaction and taking orders for better sales.
  • Upon guest entry give a warm welcome and start building a rapport with them.
  • Provide menu card, enter the correct cover and suggest the special items with detailed explanation and gain reward points for it.
  • Repeate the entire order to the guest before placing the KOT.
  • Coordinate for the timely delivery of the item ordered with best service.
  • After desserts are taken do repeate the total order to guest before printing the bill. Avoid bill cancellation and correction of items so you don\'t loose reward points.
  • Collect a open feedback from the guest about the food and service verbally.
  • If bad feedback reported, immediately reported to the manager before they leave.
  • Do not hesitate to replace or to give a alternative food item for guest, if food is reported not hot, not tasty and found with foriegn objects. Guest satisfaction is the our first priority.
  • Finally Request for google review and upsell sweets and namkeen using coupon conversion method. Both of which will earn you reward points.
3. Learning, traing and developing down line staffs.
  • Continuously learn and develop yourself with new skills and knowledge required to get promoted to the senior captain position.
  • Conduct weekly training for junior staffs on food & customer handling .
  • You are responsible to develop and build a better team under you. Always give feedback in a suggestive manner and accquire leader ship capabilities.
