We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Captain to join our team at Indira Nagar, Bangalore. The Restaurant Captain will be responsible for providing exemplary customer service, managing the dining experience, and overseeing the restaurant staff. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service: Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. Ensure that guests receive prompt, courteous, and personalized service throughout their dining experience.
2. Order Management: Take and accurately record food and beverage orders from guests. Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of items.
3. Table Management: Manage table assignments and seating arrangements to optimize capacity and flow. Coordinate with the host/hostess and floor staff to ensure efficient seating and turnover of tables.
4. Team Leadership: Supervise and support the restaurant staff, including servers, bussers, and runners. Provide training, guidance, and feedback to ensure high standards of service and professionalism.
5. Problem Resolution: Address any issues or concerns raised by guests promptly and effectively. Resolve complaints, handle special requests, and ensure guest satisfaction.
6. Upselling: Promote menu items, specials, and promotions to guests. Encourage upselling and cross-selling to enhance the dining experience and increase revenue.
7. Quality Control: Monitor the quality and presentation of food and beverages served to guests. Ensure that all items meet established standards of taste, appearance, and freshness.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as a Restaurant Captain or in a similar role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and service procedures.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
