Job Title: Restaurant Captain Location: Chennai. Tamil Nadu Reports to: Restaurant Manager Job Type: Full-time Industry Type: Hospitality / Restaurant : We are currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused Restaurant Captain with proficiency in multiple cuisines, including Indian, Arabic, Chinese, and Continental. The ideal candidate should be fluent in English, Tamil, and Hindi, possess strong customer interaction skills, and be well-versed in all aspects of restaurant captain responsibilities, including upselling. Key Responsibilities:

  • Multicuisine Expertise:
  • Demonstrate expertise in managing service operations for diverse cuisines, including Indian, Arabic, Chinese, and Continental.
  • Ensure a seamless dining experience for guests by providing detailed knowledge of the menu offerings.
  • Customer Interaction:
  • Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Address customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Upselling:
  • Implement upselling techniques to promote special menu items, beverages, and additional services.
  • Maximize revenue opportunities by encouraging guests to explore premium offerings.
  • Service Excellence:
  • Lead the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Oversee the order-taking process and ensure accurate and timely delivery of food and beverages.
  • Language Proficiency:
  • Communicate fluently in English, Tamil, and Hindi to cater to the diverse linguistic preferences of our guests.
  • Ensure effective communication with both the kitchen and guests.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and other staff members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily specials and operational updates.
  • Customer Feedback:
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement corrective actions to enhance the overall dining experience.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Captain in multicultural environments, preferably in Indian, Arabic, Chinese, and Continental restaurants.
  • Multilingual proficiency in English, Tamil, and Hindi.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with customers effectively.
  • Upselling skills to increase revenue opportunities.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in hospitality or related fields are a plus.
  • Experience as a Restaurant Captain in a diverse culinary setting.
