: Restaurant Captain (Bengali Cuisine)

Location: We Madam, Saltlake Sector V, Kolkata
Experience: 5-10 years (5 years preferred)
Salary: Up to 25,000 INR per month

Job Summary:
We Madam, a renowned Bengali cuisine restaurant located in Saltlake Sector V, is seeking a skilled and experienced Restaurant Captain to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for Bengali cuisine and a strong background in restaurant operations, particularly in a leadership role.

Responsibilities:

• Guest Service:
• Greet and welcome guests warmly.
• Ensure prompt and courteous service to create a positive dining experience.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints promptly.
• Team Management:
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the restaurant staff.
• Provide training and guidance to new and existing team members.
• Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality and guest service.
• Operations:
• Oversee daily restaurant operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist in scheduling staff shifts and assigning duties.
• Communication:
• Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders.
• Coordinate with other departments as necessary to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding operational issues, staff performance, and guest feedback.
• Training and Development:
• Conduct regular training sessions to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
• Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Restaurant Captain or similar role in a reputable restaurant, preferably specializing in Bengali cuisine.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
