Job Responsibilities of an RMO

Patient Care and Documentation



Patient Care Responsible for assessing patients' medical conditions, diagnosing illnesses, and initiating treatment plans Regularly monitor patients' progress, reviewing their responses to treatment, and adjusting care plans accordingly Provide immediate medical attention in emergencies, such as resuscitations, trauma management, and acute medical interventions Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records, documenting history, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress

Collaboration with Senior Doctors



Supervise medical students, junior doctors, or other healthcare staff. Participate in medical rounds with senior staff to discuss patient care, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Work closely with specialists and consultants, seeking advice on difficult cases and presenting patient information for review.

Surgical Assistance and Administering Medications



Prescribe medications, ensuring correct dosages, administration methods, and timings. Monitor the effects of prescribed drugs on patients and manage side effects, making adjustments as necessary Conduct preoperative evaluations and assist in the preparation of patients for surgery. Monitor patients' recovery following surgery, manage pain relief, and identify potential complications.

Patient Education



Provide patients with information regarding their diagnosis, treatment options, medications, and expected outcomes. Educate patients and families about preventive measures and lifestyle changes to maintain or improve their health.

Quality Assurance & Compliance



Ensure adherence to medical protocols, hospital policies, and standards of care. Participate in audits and safety checks to prevent errors and improve the overall quality of care. Stay compliant with legal and ethical standards in medical practice, including maintaining patient confidentiality and obtaining consent.

Professional Development



Attend educational sessions, seminars, and conferences to stay updated on medical advancements.
