Job Summary:

The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) is responsible for managing the healthcare and well-being of patients in the hospital. The role involves conducting routine check-ups, diagnosing medical conditions, prescribing treatments, and assisting senior doctors in complex medical procedures. RMOs play a vital role in delivering quality healthcare in both inpatient and outpatient settings. They are expected to maintain a high standard of medical care, work collaboratively with the healthcare team, and ensure patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
• Monitor and assess patient health, including vital signs and symptoms.
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by senior doctors.
• Provide immediate medical care during emergencies.
• Conduct physical exams and medical assessments of patients.
• Assist in diagnostic tests, surgeries, and medical procedures as necessary.
• Medical Documentation:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Ensure all documentation complies with hospital protocols and confidentiality guidelines.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with nurses, specialists, and other medical staff to provide integrated care.
• Collaborate with senior doctors in patient treatment and care planning.
• Refer patients to specialists for advanced care when necessary.
• Medical Procedures and Operations:
• Assist in minor surgeries, dressing wounds, and managing post-operative care.
• Provide support during medical emergencies and codes.
• Perform basic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of senior medical staff.
• Patient Education:
• Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions and treatment plans.
• Provide counseling and emotional support to patients.
• Shift and On-Call Duties:
• Be available for shift duties, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Participate in on-call duties and respond to medical emergencies promptly.

Required Qualifications: For Fresher's:

• Educational Qualifications:
• MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) from a recognized institution.
• Registered with the respective Medical Council.
• Skills and Competencies:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in emergencies.
• Basic knowledge of medical software and tools.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a clinical environment.
• Empathy and compassion for patient care.

For Experienced Candidates:

• Educational Qualifications:
• MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) from a recognized institution.
• Registered with the respective Medical Council.
• Relevant additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, BLS) will be an added advantage.
• Experience:
• At least 1-2 years of experience as a Resident Medical Officer or in a similar clinical role.
• Experience in handling medical emergencies, routine patient care, and assisting in medical procedures.
• Familiarity with hospital protocols and patient management systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Skills and Competencies:
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle complex medical cases and multi-task effectively.
• Excellent leadership and mentorship capabilities for fresher RMOs or junior medical staff.
• Up-to-date knowledge of medical practices and innovations.
