Position Overview:
The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day clinical operations of the hospital, managing patient care, and supporting consultants and specialists in delivering high-quality medical services. The RMO plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of patients and supporting the medical staff in emergencies and routine care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Care:
• Attend to admitted patients, perform rounds, and monitor their condition regularly.
• Record and update patient history, examination findings, and progress notes in the hospital system.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies, including performing lifesaving procedures like CPR when necessary.
• Coordination with Consultants:
• Assist specialists and consultants during procedures, treatments, and surgeries as required.
• Ensure effective communication between consultants and the nursing team for optimal patient care.
• Emergency Management:
• Manage acute medical cases in the absence of consultants until they arrive.
• Be available on-call to address emergency situations within the hospital premises.
• Administrative Duties:
• Ensure that all medical documentation, including discharge summaries, is completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain proper records of patient care in line with hospital policies and legal requirements.
• Supervision and Training:
• Supervise the nursing and paramedical staff to ensure they follow proper protocols.
• Provide basic clinical training and mentorship to junior medical staff and interns if applicable.
• Compliance and Protocols:
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in dealing with patient information.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Education: MBBS from a recognized university; registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) is mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting (freshers with a strong academic background may also be considered).
• Skills:
• Proficient in diagnosing and managing medical conditions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
• Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of hospital management systems and processes.
