Prerequisites to apply: This position is based at Hitec City, Hyderabad and is only open for the candidates who are currently in Hotel Reservations role and have relevant hotel experience. Candidates from other fields needn\'t apply. Previous corporate and leisure hotel reservations experience, knowledge of Hyderabad Market, Excellent communication skills (Spoken and Written) with ability to develop, build and strengthen relationships with corporate and social accounts. Telugu will be an added advantage. Minimum 2 years plus experience as Reservations Associates or one year in position at 4/5-star hotel. Job Role Summary: Inclusive but not an exhaustive list of the role below:
  • Plan the room reservations by ensuring proper selling techniques and strategies are utilized to maximize room revenues. Ensure the accurate positioning of the hotel in terms of occupancy and rooms availability. Ensure calculative overbooking. Give discounts and corporate rates, as per the company\xe2\x80\x99s policy.
  • Plan & prepare forecasts on a given periodical basis for review, plan & prepare monthly reports, forecasts and other relevant reports by analyzing and utilizing data and draw meaningful action plan.
  • Ensure that the various monthly statistical reports are generated and assist in the development of occupancy forecasts for the annual budget.
  • Coordinate all duties and responsibilities of the reservation department ensuring a high level of accuracy and efficiency. Monitor daily all new reservations, cancel or change reservations, and make sure information passed to relative departments is concurrent as well as check arrival guests or groups in advance and make sure the guest information, requirements, and price information is correct
  • Assist in the development of occupancy forecasts for the annual budget. Comply with the hotel credit policies, and make sure all forecast revenues are in-tuned and analyzed weekly/periodically. Identify optimal, cost-effective use of the resources and educate the team on the same.
  • Maintain and update corporate database, entering guest bookings to ensure guest information / records are kept up to date and accurate for future events.
  • Be able to develop and contribute to the overall Sales strategy through meaning market data for the assigned region. Maximize room sales and revenue for the hotel by prioritizing up-selling.
  • Provide effective support to the hotel operations team in advance to enable them to provide effective and efficient services. Ensure that team refers to guest history before creating a Guest folio to follow special instruction in case of regular and VIP Guests.
  • Respond to customer queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner to ensure customer satisfaction. Any matter which may affect the interests of the hotel should be brought to the attention of the Management.
  • Ensure that the corporate account number is recorded on the Guest Folio to help monitor quantum of business generated through respective companies.
  • Handle additional responsibilities as and when delegated by the Management
  • Be able to sell all facets of the Starlit Suites hotel at Hyderabad and cross sell other Starlit Suites Hotels at Tirupati, Bangalore, Shirdi, Kolkata, Neemrana and Kochi.
  • Maintains strong, professional relationship with the relevant representatives from competitor hotels, business partners, prominent corporates, government and other organizations.
  • Generate meaningful knowledge of Market Trends and Target Customer Information to maximize revenue. Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are well coordinated.
  • Understands the overall corporate and social market \xe2\x80\x93 analyze competitors\xe2\x80\x99 strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand of the region.
  • Leadership skills that utilize persuasion and motivation to attain organizational goals is the most desirable management quality, followed by honesty, integrity, ethical behavior, tactfulness, openness, and cultural awareness; Ability to accept responsibility with Self-confidence, motivation, drive and tenacity.
