Purpose of the Job To perform analytical and numerical simulations on multiphase fluid flow, heat transfer, particle laden flow, combustion etc. and conceptualize experimental setups to understand different aspects of conventional and alternative Ironmaking processes. The job role involves: Perform analytical and numerical simulations of multiphase fluid flow, heat transfer for several processes in metallurgical reactors Apply knowledge in fluid flow and heat transfer to build lab scale/pilot scale experimental setup Develop experimental setup, perform experiments, analyse data, report generation to validate critical parameters of CFD models Demonstrate and apply technical understanding in analysing results of different computational models, validate the model using experimental data and develop fundamental insights to bring innovation Develop ideas and concepts to mature technologies to a certain readiness level Deliver on technical projects by planning and executing different tasks by leveraging technical skills and implement new product design/process concept in plants Contribute to multi-disciplinary discussion, coordinate with multiple departments/groups to enable team for future advancements Takes part in managing different research labs and resources.
