### Role description


Purpose of the Job

• Experience in formulating cold/ hot rolling lubricant and thorough knowledge on the application.
• Characterization and testing of lubricants
• Monitor lubricant health in rolling mills and maintain a data base to ensure compliance with standard.
• Understanding the lubricant application in rolling mills and assist team in defect identification and lubricant trials with co-ordination between R&D, Quality and Operations
• Design and fabricate experimental set up or technique to simulate plant conditions.
• Compile and interpret test results and write technical reports and prepare graphs and charts.
• Maintain and upkeep safe work environment at R&D laboratory.
• Order and inventory materials and spares to maintain supply.


Job responsibilities

1.Monitor lubricant health across cold rolling mills and maintain data base

2.Co-ordinate and assist cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality and Operations) during defect identification and lubricant trials in plant

3.Ensuring safety and ISO compliance in laboratory

4.Compile, interpret test results and writing technical reports

5.Characterization and testing of lubricants


### Skills


Skill:

Should possess prior knowledge of rolling oil development, steel rolling mills and lubricant application.

Qualifications

M.Tech/ PhD in Chemical/ Oil/ Petrochemicals/ Polymer Engineering

M.Sc in Chemistry



Minimum 3 years of working experience in area of lubricant formulation and application.

Experience in developing rolling oils will be an added advantage
