Advertisement for the position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) under the ICMR-funded project at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology

Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)

in the research project funded by ICMR, Government of India, at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.

Title of the Research Project:

Netrin-1 Centric Precision Therapy for Cervical Cancer
Treatment by Integrating Computer Modelling, Experimental Methods, and Nanoformulation with Protein-ligand Interactions

Nature of the Project:

The computational & bio-informatic part of the project will be conducted in strong collaboration with the experimental counterparts, Dr. Deepika Sharma (Principal Investigator).

Qualifications

1. First Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG Degrees (Computational Biology/Chemistry, BioSciences/Chemical Biology/Bioinformatics)

2. Second Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG Degrees with PhD (Computational Biology/Chemistry, BioSciences/Chemical Biology/Bioinformatics)

Desirable Experience:

Research experience in Computational Biology/Chemistry and Bioinformatics, Molecular Dynamics Simulations, programming knowledge in Phyton, and experience in handling big data and Data Analysis, Density Functional Theory (DFT).

Age limit:

Must not be over 35 years as on 03/03/2025, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.

Fellowship:

Rs 56,000/- per month + HRA as applicable

Mode of Interview: Hybrid mode (online & offline)

Duration:

Initially one year and may be extended based on performance of the candidate and availability of funds

General Terms and Conditions:

? The position is purely temporary basis and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum four years/till the completion of the project whichever is earlier. The position is co-terminus with the project.

? No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
