At the same time, we are growing fast and have exciting, ambitious aspirations.About the roleThis role requires the incumbent to bear technical responsibility of mould development, drawing approval, component approval and mould management in a comprehensive manner with a high degree of quality. The incumbent shall drive new and affordable technologies and available resources to complete projects and achieve targets.Your role specifications

  • Develop plastic components, 3D models and drawings in line with project briefs.
  • Initiate mould annexure, mould validation, commissioning and component approval.
  • Planning of suitable cavitation, type of mould and mould materials.
  • Selection of mould type and mould maker based on complexity and required technology.
  • Explore and develop plastic resin materials to meet product and end-to-end performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with packaging lead, product development team and other stakeholders for seamless communication, and execution of projects.
  • Ensure that projects are managed within timelines and proactively suggest solutions, recommendations and actions to eliminate risks, avoid delays and achieve optimum quality and cost.
  • Value engineering through process, productivity and optimization of component weight.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in mould technology and management and propose suitable solutions to GCPL from time to time.
  • Be an individual contributor.
Who are we looking for?Experience:
  • Total 8-10 years of experience in overall mould management which includes mould design, mould making, validation processes, customer support, etc.
  • Out of the total experience, at least 2 or 3 years of experience in mould management with an FMCG company.
Candidate should have the right experience to recommend solutions, take decisions wherever required, communicate with internal and external customers, and has good understanding of component design. Candidate shall be open to assist packaging development team in areas other than moulds.Skills:
  • Functional expertise in component design, various mould making and moulding technologies and materials.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D modelling softwares like Solidworks.
  • Ability to manage projects seamlessly which are dependent on cross functional dynamics.
  • Innovation mind set and agile thinking to leverage new age technologies.
  • Understanding of end applications, its impact and customer centricity.
  • Capability for Design Review, FMEA and problem-solving techniques.
  • Good communication skills and team player.
  • Good networking skills with mould makers, moulders, material suppliers and ancillary suppliers.
  • Mindset to generate ideas and new initiatives, and a constant learner with high energy and can-do attitude.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
  • Full time Diploma / Degree in Tool Room engineering from CIPET or institutions of similar status, Or
  • A graduate in Mech Engg., with additional qualification in plastics processing.
