As the Formulation Development Manager for Injectable formulations, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of formulation scientists and researchers specializing in injectable drug products. You will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and successful development of novel injectable drug formulations, supporting the company\'s mission to improve patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise a team of formulation scientists and researchers engaged in the development of injectable drug formulations. Define and execute the overall formulation development strategy for injectable pharmaceutical products, considering factors such as stability, bioavailability, and manufacturability. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including analytical development, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing, to ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives. Oversee the planning and execution of pre-formulation and formulation studies for injectables, including feasibility assessments, compatibility studies, and process optimization. Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices in all formulation development activities related to injectables. Evaluate emerging technologies and scientific advancements in the field of injectable formulation development to drive innovation within the company. Mentor and develop the skills of the formulation team members specializing in injectables, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Participate in technical discussions and present project updates to senior management and clients as required, specifically related to injectable projects. Identify potential risks and challenges in injectable formulation development projects and implement appropriate mitigation strategies. Collaborate with external research organizations, contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs), and academic institutions to enhance the company\'s research capabilities in injectable formulations. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor\'s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field. A higher degree (Masters or Ph.D.) would be a plus. A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical formulation development, with a strong focus on injectable drug products. Proven experience in successfully leading and managing injectable formulation development projects from concept to commercialization. Strong understanding of formulation technologies, physicochemical principles, and drug delivery systems specific to injectables. Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA) and quality standards (e.g., cGMP) related to injectable formulation development. Proficient in using scientific software and tools for injectable formulation development and data analysis. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate complex scientific concepts related to injectables to diverse stakeholders. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
