FOGSI is looking to hire a Research Consultant to join its Program Enablement Unit which has been set up under a grant from a leading international foundation (referred to as 'Donor' ) to work towards improving maternal healthcare.• •About FOGSI •

FOGSI, in collaboration with partners, will engage private-sector health providers in 29 districts across Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Odisha to enhance maternal healthcare quality. The focus is on improving care during the intrapartum period through evidence-based Continuing Professional Development (CPD) modules for healthcare workers. This initiative aims to strengthen processes and introduce innovative strategies in private sector facilities.• •About the Opportunity •

• •Job Responsibilities: •
The key responsibilities for this role include:
• Secondary research and problem solving
+ Perform extensive secondary research to scan and analyse existing material on maternal health and ante-natal care including medical and and public health literature
+ Conduct landscape research to understand systemic trends such as:
• Current best practices and gaps therein in the area of ante-natal and maternal care
• Mode and manner of conducting effective trainings for a wide-range of health care professionals
• CPD Design and creation
+ Conceptualising and developing CPD modules for a range of healthcare professionals, ensuring:
• High-quality content which is easy to grasp for different audiences
• Effective expression and presentation of content to ensure high transferability
• Communication and stakeholder management
+ Coordinate and collaborate with the Joint Project Director and Program Director for CPD development and revision
+ Engage external stakeholders wherever necessary for advisory on CPD design, development and revisions (as may be required)
+ Attend CPD delivery sessions to take feedback from stakeholders and participants with a view to improving CPD content and delivery
• •Required Qualifications and Qualities: •
•The Ideal Candidate would possess the following:•
• •Master's degree in relevant fields: medicine, public health, administration, policy, business, or development studies.•
• •At least 5-7 years of experience in public health research•
• •Experience in conducting secondary research and synthesizing information related to maternal health and/or public health.•
• •Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English, with keen attention to detail.•
• •Familiarity with designing and developing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) modules or similar educational materials.•
• •Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities•
• •Preferred: •
• •Prior experience in development of maternal health realated professional training modules and/or capacity building literature•
• •Basic understanding of program design principles and capacity-building methodologies.•
• •Knowledge of current trends and best practices in maternal health and ante-natal care.•
• •Publications in medicine, public health or other related fields•
