RESEARCH ASSOCIATES IN BUSINESS STRATEGY



The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad is hiring full-time Research Associates (RAs) to work on a


strategy consulting project. The RAs are expected to assist faculty members and other researchers in data


collection (including designing, administering and managing primary surveys), market research, quantitative


and qualitative data analysis, report writing, and presentations. Successful candidates will have strong


analytical skills, excellent English writing and communication abilities, and the ability to manage consulting


projects. Prior training and experience in management consulting or market research is useful. Exposure or


interest in finance, technology and marketing is preferred but not essential.




Required qualifications, skills, and experience: Master's degree in any management/business administration/commerce/social science discipline or


Bachelor's degree in management/business administration with excellent grades.
• Strong quantitative data analysis skills and excellent English writing ability, demonstrated through
academic or professional project work.
• Independent execution of, or significant team contribution in a market research project.
• Ability to work with MS Office or equivalent platform to work on presentation slides, data worksheets,
and visualization of data analysis with help of Tableau or similar tools
• Professional work experience (of 1 to 5 years) in a collaborative team environment is desirable.
Duration:




The position will be initially offered for a period of six months and may be extended up to a year depending


on performance. RAs will be expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week (on campus) and may be


required to travel within India.




Location:



The position is based out of Ahmedabad. In exceptional cases, the candidate may be allowed to work from


remote locations, but is expected to visit Ahmedabad at least twice a month.




Salary:

Compensation will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
