Research Associate - ESG Survey Management



Arun Duggal Centre for ESG Research (CESGR) at IIMA aims to pursue cutting-edge


research, evidence-based advisory, and advocacy with a vision to improve the


Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) performance of Indian


businesses. The Centre envisages playing an active role in developing the institutions


and supporting ecosystem for integrating ESG into the strategic business and


investment decisions of private and public organizations in India.




We are seeking applications for a Research Associate position with a strong


background in survey methodology, reporting and management. The ideal candidate


will be responsible for designing, conducting, and managing surveys on a periodic


basis, as well as analysing and reporting the resulting data to support our research


objectives. This role requires excellent analytical skills, proficiency in survey software,


and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The position will be based


at IIM Ahmedabad.




Key Responsibilities: Design and develop survey instruments and methodologies.
• Conduct and manage surveys, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality
standards.
• Coordinate with professional survey agencies to design and administer surveys.
• Analyze survey data using statistical software to generate insights and reports.
• Develop data visualization to effectively communicate findings.
• Prepare comprehensive research reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project
delivery.
• Stay updated on best practices and advancements in survey methodology and
analysis.







Required Qualifications and Skills: • Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in management, public policy, social
sciences, market research, or relevant field from a reputed institution.
• Proven experience in designing, administering, and managing surveys.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical analysis and survey
software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata).
• Experience with advanced statistical techniques and methodologies is desirable.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or SQL for data
manipulation and analysis is desirable.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience in using online survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Familiarity with ethical guidelines and best practices in survey research.
• Self-motivated with excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and
the ability to work in a team environment.
• Prior experience in coordinating with various organizations and developing
research reports is preferred.







DURATION:

This is a full-time, on-campus position. The appointment will initially be for 6 months


with a potential for extension based on performance, at the discretion of the faculty


supervisor. The Research Associate will be expected to work a minimum of 40 hours


per week and may be required to travel within India.




SALARY: Compensation will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
