JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Research Analytical Chemist to join our team, specializing in fuel, crude oil, and chemical testing. The successful candidate will conduct chemical analyses on various samples, prepare detailed reports, and maintain effective communication with clients. This role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and professionalism in managing client interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Adhere strictly to laboratory safety rules and good laboratory practices.
Communicate clearly and concisely with analysts, supervisors, managers, and scientists.
Anticipate project requirements and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Compile and interpret analytical data to prepare comprehensive reports.
Utilize Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data entry and report generation.
Ensure reports are accurate, clear, and delivered to clients within specified timelines.
Address client inquiries, provide updates on testing progress, and present analytical results clearly and professionally.
Efficiently handle client communications via email and phone, ensuring prompt and effective responses.
Collaborate with team members to enhance technical expertise and workflow efficiency.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
Ph.D in Chemistry, Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Petroleum Engineering.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a standard laboratory environment.
Familiarity with analytical chemistry instrumentation including ICP, GCMS spectroscopy, DSC, and chromatography techniques.
Candidates who do not meet all requirements may be considered based on demonstrated knowledge, talent, or skills relevant to the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with petrochemical test methods and procedures.
Familiarity with entering sample information and results into databases.
Skills and Competencies:
• Proficiency in statistical methods for data analysis.
Candidates to possess presentable knowledge, customer-handling skills, technical skills, and with a background related to lab experience.
• Strong technical writing and editing skills for precise communication.
• Ability to understand and oversee laboratory experiments designed by analysts.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and learning in analytical chemistry.
