Their work lays the foundation for successful product development, manufacturing, and construction processes across a variety of industries.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed 2D and 3D models, layouts, and drawings based on project requirements, sketches, specifications, and design briefs.Utilize specialized CAD software (such as Fusion 360 or similar tools) to create, modify, and refine designs with precision and efficiency.Construct 3D models of products, components, or structures to visualize their appearance and functionality. Incorporate realistic textures, materials, and lighting effects for enhanced visualization.Create technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams that include dimensions, annotations, and other necessary details for manufacturing, construction, or assembly.Work closely with engineers, architects, project managers, and other team members to understand design objectives, provide updates, and incorporate feedback into the design process.Assist in the development of prototypes by providing accurate design specifications and collaborating with prototype production teams.Review and analyse designs for potential improvements in terms of functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.Maintain organized files and version histories to ensure that design changes and updates are well-documented and accessible to relevant stakeholders.Perform regular checks to identify and rectify design errors, inconsistencies, and issues before finalizing designs for production or implementation also ensure that all designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
