The Reporting & Analytics Finance, Technology & Innovation team is part of the Reporting and Analytics team within the Digital and Transformation organization, supporting HP\'s business processes and decisions by unleashing the power of data & insights. We deliver reliable and consistent business insights, make high quality data universally accessible based on intuitive access to certified data & information for every employee and drive operational excellence through the right set of actionable metrics to accelerate innovation and transformation.
Position Overview
Our team is focused on providing reporting solutions and data insights to our HP End-User Finance Stakeholders. This group includes 3000+ people ranging from Finance Executives to Finance Analysts supporting the Finance Close and our BU\'s and Markets and many others.
Some of the most important metrics which are included in our reports, are Orders, Shipments, Balance & Subledgers, Tax, Revenue, Margin, Secured Revenue, Profitability, Cash Flow, Inventory. The scope and importance of data is growing while we are on our Digital Transformation journey as well our technologies are rapidly advancing in the in the big data & data modelling space.
We are looking to strengthen our team with a highly motivated and dedicated individual to manage our Finance Supply Chain products and solutions.
In this critical, visible role you will manage in close collaboration with the Finance and Procure to Pay organizations the R&A Finance Supply Chain data solutions, from requirements to design to implementation and their continuous evolution.
You will gain exposure across multiple BI technologies, products and platforms and establish relationships with Finance organization and other partner organizations.
Responsibilities
Define Data Product design and roadmap with Data Consumers
Define Service Level Objectives (SLO) and ensure they are met
Drive e2e Data Product delivery coordinating Data Engineers work
Document and publish Data Product definition, metadata, access method
Ensure Data Products are easily discoverable and accessible
Ensure Data products are certified for Compliance, Quality, Privacy & Security prior publishing to Data Consumers
Approve data access and monitor proper usage of owned Data Products
Ensure automated Data Quality & Availability controls are in place
Drive Performance or Quality issues resolution involving data system of origin and data engineers as required.
Ensure owned Data Products are interoperable across HP whenever applicable.
Act as a liaison to leadership teams and other key business groups, makes recommendations and provides guidance for the leadership
Representing the Finance Supply Chain BI Initiatives, projects and strategy.
Develops and manages effective relationships with stakeholders, represents the needs of the business during complex projects
Leads assigned projects effectively, drives Management of Change.
Collaborates effectively with business, operations, delivery, and process teams
Works with a very high degree of autonomy, able to direct work for self and others
Lead or participate in worldwide projects/ transformations that drive efficiency or effectiveness results for the organization, including capabilities introduction, process and operational model changes.
Coordinate resources, timelines and scope to attain project targets.
Track and report project/ program metrics .
Collaborate with broader teams like Contra , Finance, Supply Chain, IT and other teams to drive project results.
Be a Change Agent, provide thought leadership and expertise in your area to the project teams and business users
Knowledge & Skills
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis. Finance Supply Chain and Procure to Pay knowledge preferred.
Good knowledge of HP\xe2\x80\x99s reporting environment and architecture. Familiarity with ODW, TERA or TITAN is a plus.
Ability to lead complex BI programs
Ability to indirectly manage resources and ensuring the project objectives are achieved.
Passion for data & delivering data driven outcomes.
Hands-on technical skills, ready to learn more and provide recommendations to drive continuous improvement
Able to work independently yet collaborate cross-functionally in a global and multicultural environment
Self-driver, strategic mindset, attention to detail and capable of independently managing complex processes that touch multiple stakeholders
Strong experience with data visualization and presenting data in a clear and simple manner
Excellent interpersonal and project management skills; ability to work across in person as well as virtual team environments
Excellent written/verbal communications skills, mastery in English. Comfortable presenting to all levels of management and customers
Strong analytical skills and work easily with numbers and multi-dimensional data
Able to manage multiple work streams effectively with minimum guidance and provide timely updates to leadership
Advanced Database skills with preferable Big Data exposure
Advanced knowledge in Project Management and Program management.
Knowledge in Modelling / Predictive Analytics.
Strong interpersonal capabilities and ability to work cross-functionally with other leaders on sensitive issues.
Education & Experience
First level university degree with a focus in science, business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification preferred.
8+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in roles with Finance Supply Chain and or Procure to Pay reporting affinity.
