Job Title: Repair and Maintenance Technician

Location: Field Work Mumbai , Navi Mumbai & Thane

Job Type: Full-time

Reports to: Operation Manager

Job Summary:

The Repair and Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of manufacturing equipment and machinery. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and repairing machinery to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Candidate must have Machines Knowledge :

1. Hydraulic power pack - 12 Nos

2. Cold Rolling mills - 4 Nos

3. Friction welding machine - 2Nos

4. Power press - 15 Nos

5. EOT Cranes & Hoist 3 Tons to 30 Tons - 12Nos

6. PLC Pipe cutting machines - 12 Nos

7. Threading machines - 8 Nos

8. Air compressor - 12 Nos

9. Slitting Machine - 1 Nos

- Preventive Maintenance:

- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.

- Inspect machinery regularly to identify potential issues before they become problems.

- Repairs:

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions.

- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring instruments.

- Work with other maintenance staff to repair complex equipment.

- Troubleshooting:

- Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.

- Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

- Documentation:

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs and replacements.

- Document all work performed in maintenance logs.

- Compliance:

- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.

- Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols during maintenance tasks.

- Collaboration:

- Work closely with the production team to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting operations.

- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance.

- Continuous Improvement:

- Suggest improvements for equipment reliability and efficiency.

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.

Qualifications:

- Education:

- Certifications from Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in trades like Machinist , Fitter, Electrician, or Maintenance Mechanic are often considered sufficient.

- Additional certifications in specific areas such as HVAC, PLC programming, or electrical systems maintenance can be beneficial.

- Experience:

- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair within a manufacturing environment.

- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

- Skills:

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.

- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

- Basic understanding of computer software for maintenance management.

- Attributes:

- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance.

- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment.

Working Conditions:

- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

- May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
