:Join our dynamic team of Repair Engineers dedicated to delivering exceptional support to all workshop departments. In this role, you will adopt a customer-centric approach, focusing on both internal and external clients, to facilitate efficient team management. You will be accountable for your productivity while coordinating daily with your team, applying a range of service and repair engineering skills.You will also identify improvement opportunities and assist in implementing preventative measures to maintain our high-quality standards in a fast-paced production environment. This position offers the chance to tackle challenges, enhance your skills, and broaden your experience through various exciting initiatives.Key Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials to accurately diagnose and repair plant equipment.
  • Utilize measuring equipment and understand wear limit specifications for accurate dimensional measurements of components.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning electrical and mechanical apparatus and review NDT Inspection Reports to verify component conditions.
  • Provide support and guidance for fault-finding and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform and develop daily preventative maintenance functions as scheduled.
  • Realign and adjust machinery to adhere to manufacturers\' specifications.
  • Assist in the movement and installation of new and existing machinery.
  • Plan maintenance sequences to achieve optimal efficiency and production flow.
  • Monitor and control materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or faults.
  • Coordinate with the team for "on-call" coverage for breakdowns.
  • Perform "Inductions" and "Permit to Work" processes for third parties or irregular work.
  • Rework and/or repair plant equipment and products per engineering specifications.
  • Check work using gauges, visuals, and measuring tools.
  • Maintain an organized and visual workspace, including inventory management.
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when working on plant equipment.
  • Ensure safety and quality standards are met, escalating concerns as necessary.
  • Utilize proactive root cause problem-solving techniques.
  • Support initiatives such as new techniques, products, and machinery purchases.
  • Attend daily team briefings and engage in discussions regarding potential issues.
  • Aid in quality-related investigations to help managers understand root causes.
  • Implement identified process improvements.
  • Assist in maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, cost, delivery, and engagement.
  • Participate in toolbox talks.
  • Promote and adhere to company objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure all procedures and paperwork are completed and signed off by the relevant person.
  • Comply with health and safety, quality requirements, and housekeeping standards.
  • Travel as required.
  • Ensure adequate stock levels of critical components for machines and repair shop.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the line manager.
Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Educational Background: Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of experience in servicing and repair of Rig tech and drilling equipment.
  • Project Management: Demonstrate experience in managing projects efficiently.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.
  • Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical issues effectively to design and project engineering teams.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working well with individuals at all organizational levels.
