  • Provide Level 0-3 support for all market data infrastructure, messaging and external services globally, and also follow-the-sun global support for market data infrastructure, messaging and external services in UK/US/APAC regions
  • Assist in the implementation of market data infrastructure, messaging and external services projects/requests globally to meet with business requirements and adhering to global REMS and group standards and directions.
  • Work closely with global REMS, business teams, and various application IT parties including Telecommunication, market data and network services vendors, and Global REMS teams for project/requests implementation/testing/verification and rollout.
  • Involve in market data infrastructure, messaging and external services upgrade (desktop applications, server applications, network circuits), performance and capacity management, and also any vendor/network changes and verification, systems drill test, etc to ensure stable and uninterruptible services to be delivered to business while meeting with the agreed
  • Services Level Agreement.
  • Follow group and Global REMS procedures and processes, including required administration, documentation to ensure all REMS systems under the proper configuration management and all incidents, changes, event are within group and regional incident, change and event management governance.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
  • Successful candidate must have Bachelors-degree level or equivalent on IT/Engineering disciplines with minimum 8-10 years working experience with 4 years solid experience in technical services implementation and support of mission critical communication, trading and/or networking systems.
  • Hands on knowledge/experience with one or more of the following technologies - Refinitiv Market Data Platform TREP/RTDS, MQ, Solace, Bloomberg, good understanding on Financial Markets services and working experience with trading operations in finance industry or similar environment is highly appreciated.
  • Good knowledge on Linux OS, including UNIX scripting and administration, VI editor, Microsoft Windows OS and basic desktop application.
  • Good understanding on networking including Telecom circuits, network switches and routers, TCPIP protocol suites eg. IP, UDP, DNS, FTP, HTTP, etc while more in-depth networking knowledge such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP qualification will definitely an advantage.
  • Experience to provide 1st line system support and handle urgent and critical incidents following standard processes and the ability to make good judgment for escalation for the fast recovery of services to business. Previous ITIL / DevOps concept / understanding is desirable.
  • Good communication (oral and written English) skills is important, and be able to discuss and handle user requests in English.
What additional skills will be good to have?
  • If you do not have market data or messaging domain knowledge but are a very strong Unix administrator and have worked on application support on Linux/Unix systems, we consider as a very important skill
  • Willing to work in weekends (once in 2 months) for production support and system release
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team
  • Appetite to learn new and emerging technologies
  • Innovative thought process to automate manual and redundant tasks
