Join us in shaping the future of technology and engineering solutions on a global scale.Position SummaryPosition Summary and Location\xc2\xb7 In this role, the Reliability Engineer is responsible to assess the Reliability, Availability and Maintainability of products and systems through engineering and statistical analyses. Your success will be measured by your ability to provide critical inputs to product development and operational teams in minimizing technical risks, directly impacting Oceaneering\xe2\x80\x99s ability to deliver exceptional results to the stakeholders.\xc2\xb7 This position is based in Chandigarh/ Pune\xc2\xb7 Our hybrid/remote work model offers the flexibility to work from home, allowing you to balance personal and professional life. Please note that the first 6 months will require working from the office.\xc2\xb7 Ability to travel domestically and overseas as per business needs.\xc2\xb7 We support professional development goals through certifications like CRE and CMRPDuties & ResponsibilitiesDuties and ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL

  • Study product designs and system schematics (drawings, CAD models, technical documents) and interface with cross functional teams to understand their functionality and determine failure modes.
  • Executes workshops on Technology Maturity Assessment through assessment of Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) and Technical Risks (TRC) under supervision.
  • Executes workshops with cross functional teams to carry out Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) under supervision.
  • Search for and identify correct failure data for components from various sources such as field data, historical references and databases.
  • Analyze failure data to assess reliability for repairable and non-repairable systems.
  • Use appropriate reliability assessment tools (RBD, Event Tree Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Load Strength Interference etc.) to predict product or system reliability.
  • Provide inputs for reliability demonstration tests and monitor and analyze the test results.
  • Prepare reports for Reliability Analyses studies.
  • Analyze field failure data to update FMECA and RAM to track reliability growth.
  • Support the development and upgradation efforts (through VBA coding) for the excel based tools used in the Reliability Engineering team.
  • Perform the following for product development projects.
  • Define scope of work
  • Plan jobs for duration, effort etc.
  • Share regular updates about work with stakeholders.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and latest techniques in Reliability and Maintenance

  • Post Graduation (Master degree) in Mechanical Engineering or Reliability Engineering, OR
  • Graduation (Bachelor degree) in Mechanical Engineering with minimum three years of relevant industry experience
DESIRED
  • Should have experience working on failure modes of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Should have strong understanding of statistical distributions (like Weibull, Exponential, Normal, Poisson etc.)
  • Should have strong understanding of reliability assessment tools and techniques.
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of commercial reliability assessment software packages (like ReliaSoft, @Risk etc.) would be highly beneficial.\xc2\xb7 Prior experience in use of MS Excel VBA Coding would be highly beneficial.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
