Role purpose: Vodafone has embarked on a digital transformation journey across its enterprise architecture. New cloud solutions such as EVO Concur, Fieldglass, Success Factors and Ariba are being deployed, together with the new digital core of S/4HANA. There has been implemented a New Release Approach resulting in changes to the ways of working. Transitioning into an SAFe AGILE Implementation Approach requires a role to manage the interdependencies between Cloud and on prem applications, Programme/Project delivery and AGILE Product implementation. The RTE \' Release Train Engineer manages such interdependencies interacting with stakeholders from Business and IT (E- and F-Band) to define the delivery scope on a defined timeline with identified risks to ensure quality implementation within timline to ensure fast business value creation. The RTE is accountable for the overall Implementation plan for the Program Increment and ensures that progress is tracked in an efficient and meaningful manner and changes are managed. The RTE is working with IT Portfolio Managers, COP Leads, IT Product Managers, Business Programme Managers and Business Product Owners to align on business strategy to ensure highest business value outcome. Key accountabilities and decision ownership [max 5]: Responsible for creating the the overall Implementation plan for the Program Increment and ensure that progress is tracked in an efficient and meaningful manner. Align with IT Portfolio Managers, Business/Community of Practice Leads, IT Product Managers and Business Product Owners the business strategy and Program Increment execution Drive the Business Product Owners, IT Product Managers and AGILE/Scrum Teams to facilitate release planning Improving and assessing with DevOps and Release on Demand in the Continuous delivery pipeline Help drive the Lean User experience Innovation cycle Work with AGPMO (Agile PMO) on program execution and operation excellence preparedness (definition, grooming, scoping), to ensure that each release train has an actionable prioritized backlog Collaborates with the program leadership team to prioritize and manage program backlogs, in order to optimize the flow of value through the program Manages interdependencies between Program increments Core competencies, knowledge and experience: Strong analytical capability, project/ PMO and program management and process improvement experience Ability to exercise judgement and make decisions within broadly defined parameters Strong stakeholder management skills, displaying positive assertiveness and relationship building and negotiation skills Strong time management skills, prioritization abilities in the context of conflicting and changing priorities, proactive with strong problem solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills and experience communicating with all levels of an organization and within global cross-functional teams Must have technical / professional qualifications: AGILE/Scrum Master acumen SAFe Model Prince 2 practisioner / PMP Demand Management expert
