Structured hybrid role:
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, anchor, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction
The role supports the Global Head of Regulatory Compliance and their Chief of Staff to effectively manage and operate the Regulatory Compliance team.


What will you be doing?
  • Assist with RC meeting its governance and reporting obligations, including internal functional reporting and external facing MI such as board, and Compliance management reporting.
  • Support in a range of functional management responsibilities, such as managing and developing RC organisational/ structural, people and risk and control matters.
  • Assist with timely implementation of RC strategy and priorities where relevant, including assisting in communicating key messages and updates to the global team.
  • Liaise with a range of internal RC colleagues in management and progression of the above, ensuring RC executes on its obligations and assisting the RC Chief of Staff and Global Head of RC in developing a One RC team mindset and simplified and effective way of operating together.

What were looking for:
  • Experience operating in Barclays or another financial services firm in an Office type role and/ or in Compliance or another control function (e.,g. BIA, CCO, Legal, HR).
  • Experience producing and overseeing the production of timely and accurate internal governance and reporting papers, including MI, talking points, themes and insights.
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to deliver on time and to standard.
  • Experience of working with in a collaborative and effective manner with a stakeholders at a range of corporate grades.
  • Excellent written and strong oral communication skills.

Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Professional qualifications, certifications and/or registrations relevant to Compliance.
  • Experience in a chief of staff/ office environment in Barclays and/ or in a Compliance or other control function.
  • Experience in producing executive, board and regulatory reporting.
  • Experience of developing and delivering strategy and business plans for a business or function.
