Position Title: Regional Supply Planner
Reports to: Regional Supply Planning Manager
Location: India
Job Summary
You will play a key role in developing regional formulations and packaging Supply Plan for the 5-36 months horizon in monthly buckets. This role requires working in close partnership with the Master Scheduler who is accountable to set the weekly plan across 0-4 months.
A key objective of the Supply Planner is to deliver an achievable supply plan as the plan rolls into the month 4 window. Supply Planners also interface with end-to-end Supply Chain Managers who focus on supply chain strategy across the 2-5-year horizon.
How You Will Help Us Succeed
Once the final consensus demand plan is released to Supply Planning, a Supply Planner
• Reviews and upgrades the Demand/Supply Balanced Plan generated by the IBP Supply Solver
• Uses scenarios to evaluate alternate supply solutions as the planners develop a feasible procurement, production and materials distribution plan
• Manages gaps in the plan by identifying options not accounted for by the system and makes trade-off decisions to be presented within the S&OP process (e.g., expedited delivery, additional labor)
• Develops regional formulations and packaging Supply Plan for the 4-36 months horizon in monthly buckets
• Ensures the supply configuration is sustainable, efficient and cost-effective considering demand patterns and MTO vs. MTS requirements
• Works closely with the Plant/Tolling managers/Master schedulers to determine the right product mix at the formulation sites, ensures the configuration is sustainable, efficient and cost effective taking into consideration the demand patterns and MTO vs. MTS capacity requirements
• Leads the analysis and scenario planning to identify potential gaps and opportunities and drives resolution on any open/anticipated supply issues
• Participates or leads Supply review meeting, ensures relevant issues are raised and follow-up actions or decisions are communicated
• Develops and submits inventory forecast for at least the next 12 rolling months
• Participates in supply chain improvement assignments/initiatives and provides coverage for master scheduling in special situation
• Gathers, interprets, & uses relevant data to develop actionable plans to improve supply chain performance. Consolidates data from Countries to Regional level.
What You Will Bring to Us
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business Management
• Advanced Supply Chain or Project Management Certification (CSCP, CPIM, CPM) is preferred
• 7 years' experience in multiple areas that could include time spent in functional supply chain role, as well as manufacturing, procurement, finance or another business function in a multi-national environment
• High level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• ERP experience is required (SAP preferred)
• Direct experience in a planning role along with advanced planning system experience required
• Experience in manufacturing industries is preferred
• Understanding of functional supply chain elements is required, including production operations, procurement, production planning and scheduling, inventory management, distribution, and customer service
• Experience in managing work using data and metrics; owns and utilizes KPIs to manage process and drive improvement, including ensuring valid planning metric feedback is delivered every cycle to stakeholders
• Ability to facilitate meetings with relevant stakeholders, such as manufacturing, procurement and/other planning members
• Ability to act as the local focal point of knowledge to manage questions from cross-functional stakeholders about the current schedule
• Ability to periodically review supply restrictions, and facilitate discussion with stakeholders to identify options for improvement
• Ability to support and/or lead small scale projects or initiatives
• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities
• Demonstrates results through a proactive nature
