Regional Sales Officer - FMCG

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Regional Sales Officer to oversee and manage sales activities across multiple territories within a designated region for our FMCG products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding market share, managing distributor networks, and ensuring optimal product distribution and visibility in the region. This role requires a strong focus on strategic sales planning, team management, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales Target Achievement: Drive and achieve sales targets for the assigned region, ensuring both primary and secondary sales goals are met or exceeded.
• Regional Market Expansion: Identify new business opportunities within the region, focusing on market penetration and expanding the company's presence in untapped areas.
• Distributor & Retailer Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key stakeholders to ensure consistent product availability, visibility, and alignment with sales objectives.
• Sales Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute sales strategies and promotional plans that are aligned with the overall regional business objectives and market dynamics.
• Team Leadership & Development: Manage and motivate a team of Area Sales Officers and sales representatives to achieve targets, ensuring effective communication, training, and performance monitoring.
• Sales Reporting & Market Insights: Provide regular sales reports, market analysis, and feedback on competitor activities, market conditions, and customer preferences.
• Promotional Support: Work closely with the marketing team to plan and implement regional promotions, product launches, and other initiatives to drive sales and increase brand awareness.
• Customer Relationship Management: Maintain long-term relationships with key clients and customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, addressing concerns, and promoting customer loyalty.
• Market & Competitor Monitoring: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

Key Requirements (Education, Work Experience & Skills):

• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Marketing, or a related field).
• 5+ years of experience in sales management , regional sales , or FMCG sales .
• Strong experience in distributor management , territory development , and primary & secondary sales .
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing sales teams in the FMCG sector.
• Excellent leadership , negotiation , and relationship-building skills.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics , consumer behavior , and competitor landscape in the FMCG industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
• Fluency in English , Hindi , and the local language (preferred).
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
