Provides quality leadership for PerkinElmers internal and external customers in all assigned tasks, while upholding PerkinElmers Values at all times: inclusive of constructive problem solving, facilitating creative improvements, and inspiring others.
Achieves the Regions revenue and profitability quotas for PerkinElmers products as they are sold into all customer segments within Region.
Establishes an environment and foundation for future sales growth. Sells and teaches others how to sell value and solutions to Perkin Elmer customers.
Directs the selling activities within the Region, inclusive of resource deployment and customer interactions. Prioritizes effectively and in accordance with corporate objectives.
Efficiently manages the regions Customer, Government and distribution relationships. Works in conjunction with the Corporate and Government Accounts team and to ensure attention and growth in the key account segments
Leads the Sales Team for the assigned region, inclusive of managing performance, coaching, mentoring, hiring and career development.
Provides accurate forecasting and sales tracking.
Negotiate the terms of an agreement and closing sales
Sets the vision for the Region and develops and adheres to a business plan to attain this vision.
Evaluates market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that effect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability.
Disseminate information to regional sales representatives, corporate marketing and sales operations.
Provides and conducts customer training to support after sales as well as maintaining ongoing relationships with key accounts.
Promotes and instills companys values in all levels of employee.
Develops and maintains territory specific information relative to competitors and distributors in the market mix
Achieves assigned sales quotas by maximizing promotion and sales activity of PerkinElmer Genomics products
REQUIRED COMPETENCE
Education - Any graduate/postgraduate preferably Science and Business Development
Required work experience related to position: Minimum of 10 to 12 years experience
Special requirements / Skills / Attributes
Proven leadership skills.
Supervisory or management experience, preferably of a sales colleague.
Working knowledge of healthcare, and medical market segments within an assigned region.
Demonstrated record of achievement in a prior sales position.
Strong closing skills. Prior attendance at formal sales training courses a plus.
Proven oral, written, telephone and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to learn and retain product specific information and utilize to position the features and benefits to customers.
