Regional Sales Manager As a Regional Sales Manager , you will be responsible for sales and business development activities in the assigned territory for Products, Solutions & Services of Identity and Biometric Solution Business Line of Thales DIS Business Unit. Key Responsibilities: Promoting and selling IBS solutions / products / solution services to Government Projects &/or customers (System Integrators, ISVs, Value Added Solution providers) Identifying market/business opportunities in following IBS (Identification and Biometrics solution) product/solutions and collect primary and secondary information in this regard, for example: ePassport issuance, supply, technologies and solutions Smart Card Solutions for Government (SCOSTA) Civil Identity for citizens and governments (Unique Identity) Border management solutions for governments Public Security Solutions (AFIS) Biometrics solutions (ABIS) Digital Identity solutions As an independent contributor, you will develop sales plan to achieve assigned revenue targets and margin projections. Direct coverage of Indian market. Additional markets maybe assigned later. Maintaining surveillance of tender/enquiries coming up from different Government/ Semi Government agencies for Identification & Biometrics projects, including, eID, Passport, eDL, eHealth, Digital ID etc. Working with current and new system integrators/consortium partners in presentation of proposals/bids for submission to end customers. Conducting presentation of Thales IBS products to end customers including solution proposals Establishing close relationship with potential customers and tying up with Government agencies, SI companies and IT Solution companies, in the product domain and with national identity/security agencies. Assisting in preparation of forecasts and industry surveys Coordinating promotion through exhibitions/seminars/workshops and other Marcom activities together with support from Marcom Department Key Requirements: Recognized Degree in Engineering or ICT related courses, with at least 15 year experience in sales, and preferably around 5 years working with Government program in SI or IT solution company Previous sales experience in Home Ministry, Ministry of External Affairs, UIDAI and Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology preferred. Excellent business acumen and is able to prepare technological commercial proposals. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with personal networking capabilities with government officials and corporate executives. Good communication skills and fluent both English and Hindi language Experienced in preparing for tenders.
