The purpose of the role:

• The Head Supply Chain IMEA will have full responsibility for translating the corporate purpose, vision, and strategies into all aspects of the IMEA supply chain operations. This executive will also execute manufacturing strategies and optimize operations to achieve substantive productivity gains for businesses. The individual will be the key supply chain resource for the IMEA region and will also support the global supply chain management through regular communication. The individual will establish integration between supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, operational planning as well drive continuous improvement. S/he will oversee operations India, Middle East and Africa.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• From the corporate purpose and vision, drive development of strategies, for supply chain and manufacturing operations and process excellence functions to support and enhance Griffith's overall corporate strategy and objectives
• Partner with regional leaders to integrate and leverage existing operational capabilities and develop new capabilities to deliver growth and improve returns.
• Drives collaboration with global operations team, business unit personnel and matrix reporting functions.
• Drive process efficiency improvement to expand the productivity and capacity of the existing manufacturing and supply chain operations through LEAN principles and methodologies.
• Manage partnerships and ecosystems in supply chain to create flexible manufacturing operations such as co-manufacturing.
• Ensure Griffith has best in class technology, methodologies and practices across the organization to meet existing and future customer needs.
• Drive the implementation of consistent processes, technology and capabilities as well as other strategic initiatives leveraging best practices across the organization.
• Direct and coordinate appropriate operations metrics, process improvements and organizational changes to drive continuous improvement. Set ambitious world-class standards that are measured, monitored, and achieved/exceeded.
• Provide linkage between business management and the supply chain function to ensure effective communication, alignment, prioritization and implementation of business and supply chain strategies.
• Ensure consistent and efficient lean and flexible production systems based on continuous improvement techniques across all manufacturing operations.
• Drive collaboration and best practices sharing throughout the organization; promotes "One Griffith" community through identification of business opportunities for simplification and standardization.
• Take a strategic approach and mindset while balancing the need to get hands-on in performing day-to-day operational work, demonstrating willingness for both, and utilizing strong analytic skills.
• Influence at all levels of the organization and develop strong working relationships with managers and employees, taking a proactive approach in addressing issues.
• Lead, coach and ensure building of a strong talent bench at the regional level. Also, support recruitment, mentoring and development of regional employees.


TALENT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute Talent Management and supervisory duties in accordance with Griffith Foods policies.
• Responsibilities encompass planning, assigning, and overseeing work; evaluating performance; providing coaching and development guidance; motivating, rewarding, and addressing disciplinary actions for employees; addressing grievances and resolving conflicts; conducting interviews, recruitment, training, and retention efforts.


PROBLEM SOLVING

• Development and execution of plans to meet customer business needs due to internal challenges or changing market conditions.
• Management of customer needs and communications internally and externally impacting the customers.
• Decisions vary from targeted customer management of activities to meet needs, pricing strategies, personnel hiring and disposition, account and segment strategies and sales structure, talent development and promotion or eliminations.


INFLUENCING & RELATIONSHIPS

Internal

• Reports to Global Supply Chain VP and IMEA President
• Geographic coverage - India, Middle East, and Africa.
• Work Location - Bangalore, India
• Strong relationship required with other BD functions (Sales, R&D, Culinary, Marketing), India leadership team and Global Supply Chain team.


External

• Relationships with customers, suppliers, Outside auditors, Vendors, Government Officials.


CANDIDATES PROFILE

The Head Supply Chain IMEA will provide executive leadership and governance for all regional operations. This individual will lead the development and execution of supply chains strategies needed to improve operational efficiency across the entire enterprise. Additionally, the executive will drive the implementation of technology and common systems, processes and organizational structures needed to improve overall operational performance.

This individual must bring experience in overseeing international multi-site & multi-culture manufacturing operations as well as creating and implementing world-class supply chain strategies. S/he must have delivered strong results and have a track record of providing leadership in complex and rapidly changing environments.

S/he should have been responsible for a broad range of critical areas in supply chain operations including such areas as Distribution and Logistics, Planning and Operational Excellence and have the ability to leverage tools and knowledge to build required infrastructure, metrics, and processes to support a high performing operation.

Requirement

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree/MBA preferred
• 15+ years of integrated regional operations experience (supply chain; operations; logistics; productivity; planning etc.), operating in the IMEA region.
• Proven track record achieving manufacturing operations efficiency and working with external manufacturing partners as required
• Leveraged, directed and executed bundled technology solutions to achieve organizational goals
• Experience leading cross-functional organizations and able to influence regional business leads and supply chain heads while working in a matrix organization.
• Significant experience of leading multiple sites and successful business transformation incorporating new production methods & capabilities
• Leadership of initiatives and programs creating a culture of continuous improvement
• Experience ideally with B2B and B2C settings, working in agile environments
• Strong leadership capabilities with demonstrated ability to develop and grow talent pipeline
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills, including comprehension, effective listening and negotiating skills
• Strong strategic and analytical skills along with business acumen
• Full financial understanding of the P&L
• Has experience managing a complex supply chain organization.
• Experience working and living abroad is preferred
