Job Title : Hospital Receptionist Cum Billing Executive
Job Summary: As a Hospital Receptionist, you play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to patients, visitors, and staff members. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of the hospital's front desk, create a welcoming environment, and facilitate efficient communication within the healthcare facility.
•Key Responsibilities •:
Patient Check-In and Registration:
Greet patients and visitors warmly and assist them with the check-in process. Collect and verify patient information, including personal and insurance details. Ensure accuracy in patient records and update information as needed.
Appointment Scheduling:
Coordinate patient appointments and ensure proper scheduling. Communicate appointment details to patients, including date, time, and any specific instructions.
Answering Phones and Inquiries:
Manage incoming calls and route them to the appropriate departments or individuals. Provide information to callers and address inquiries or concerns in a professional manner.
Visitor Assistance:
Assist visitors with directions, information, and any special needs. Monitor and control access to the hospital, ensuring security and privacy.
Administrative Support:
Perform general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized front desk areas. Handle incoming and outgoing mail, as well as manage email correspondence.
Insurance Verification:
Verify insurance coverage for patients and assist in resolving any issues related to billing or insurance claims.
Cash Handling:
Collect co-payments or payments for services rendered and provide receipts. Maintain an organized and secure system for handling financial transactions.
Emergency Response:
Follow established protocols in the event of emergencies, including contacting appropriate personnel and providing necessary information.
Maintaining Patient Confidentiality:
Adhere to strict patient confidentiality guidelines in accordance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
Collaboration with Healthcare Team:
Communicate effectively with medical staff, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
