Position: Real Estate Investment Management Analyst Reports to: Head of Investment Management Department: Asset Management Location: Mumbai / Remote (India) Role Summary As an Investment Management Analyst at Plotify, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the financial and operational performance of USA and UK residential investment properties that Plotify manages on behalf of our Members. You will provide ongoing financial and operational insights from the historical performance of individual and aggregated residential investment properties, and create forward-looking operational business plans, financial projections, and performance metrics/targets for each individual investment property. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies, drive optimization, and contribute to Plotify\'s growth in the real estate technology sector. Candidates should ideally have experience in residential real estate operations, preferably in USA Single Family Rental homes, financial management of real estate assets, strong financial acumen, financial modeling, data analysis, forensic operational and financial investigation, and operational execution skills. This is a growth role in a young and rapidly expanding firm. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work remotely with international colleagues in the UK and US and work face-to-face with other Plotify team member(s) in India and the global team during regular visits to India. Role Responsibilities Implement optimization strategies to enhance the overall performance of individual investment properties and portfolios, maximizing sustainable returns for investors. Conduct detailed historical financial and operational performance analysis for each individual investment property. Create and track key performance metrics for each individual investment property and benchmark internally and against the industry/market. Understand and optimize for the throughput of tax efficiencies and leakages at the investment property, SPV, and portfolio level Develop short and long-term financial and operational business plans for each individual residential investment property, identifying areas for improvement or action. Execute strategies to mitigate financial and operational risks for individual properties and portfolios. Support financial planning efforts by creating forecasts, budgets, and scenario analyses to assist in long-term investment planning. Utilize data and financial modeling techniques to evaluate investment property mark-to-market valuations. Prepare comprehensive investment reports, presentations, and recommendations for both internal teams and external stakeholders. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continually enhance investment strategies. Build analytics tools to analyze market trends, property performance, and investment potential, ensuring accurate data-driven insights. Collaborate with internal teams to contribute to formulating investment strategies and portfolio construction, aligned with market trends and investor goals. Role Requirements Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (CFA, FRM) is a plus. A minimum of 3 years of experience in investment analysis and financial modeling within the real estate sector. Experience working with UK/US-based clients. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed investment recommendations. Solid understanding of financial markets, real estate trends, and investment strategies. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts. Familiarity with start-up environments and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Thrive in a dynamic start-up environment, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Proven ability to work independently and remotely, demonstrating self-motivation and discipline. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google GSuite/Workplace. Exposure to accounting/bookkeeping processes is a plus.
