Discover SBS on YouTube.As Principal Quality Engineer , you will drive the hands-on quality assurance efforts and strategy for our flagship digital Core Banking suite. This role demands deep technical background and extensive hands-on experience. You will work directly alongside the development team, employing advanced technologies and methodologies to ensure our products exceed the stringent demands of digital banking environments.Minium Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher engineering degree in Computer Science, or related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in developing and executing comprehensive quality strategies for large-scale products, ideally within the digital banking sector using SaaS.
  • A minimum of 15 years in the technology sector, with extensive hands-on experience in software product life cycle, agile methodologies - scaled agile, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices particularly in cloud and SaaS operations.
Required Skills
  • In-depth understanding of global-scale software products, particularly SaaS-based digital solutions, with a proven track record of hands-on development and implementation of comprehensive test strategies tailored to cloud and SaaS environments.
  • Proven capability in advancing strategic objectives through hands-on technical work, defining and executing key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive product excellence across various software artifacts and testing disciplines.
  • Strong proficiency in SaaS, cloud solutions, API testing, and the challenges of integration, multi-tenancy, resilience, and system upgrades.
  • Expertise in utilizing tools for automated testing for NFRs such as performance, load, availability, seamless upgrades, resilience, and security assessments.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional technical processes to certify products effectively.
  • Familiarity with product engineering best practices and process excellence.
  • Good knowledge of the banking domain and related technological frameworks.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools/frameworks such as Cypress, K6 or similar.
  • Experience with API testing, performance and security testing on products using cloud technologies (AWS), Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
What you will do:
  • Hands-on Quality Leadership: Actively participate in the development and refinement of quality assurance strategies for our Digital Core Banking Product Suite. Ensure high standards of quality are consistently maintained through direct involvement in all stages of product development.
  • Collaborative Certification: Work closely with the Engineering teams to create quality related artefacts, best practices, lead initiatives promoting an environment that values openness, collaboration, and technical agility. Direct coaching and hands-on guidance of engineering teams, reviews, analyze test results, and provide feedback to developers to ensure high-quality software delivery will be part of the mission.
  • Innovative Technical Leadership: Drive advancements in technology and process efficiencies through direct involvement in automation, testing, deployment, architecture, and performance optimization to enhance product scalability and robustness, based on industry trends, emerging technologies like AI.
  • KPI Management: Establish, monitor, and personally manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to systematically improve and assess product quality.
  • Cultural Excellence: Foster a culture of technical excellence by actively participating in design and implementation initiatives, monitoring results, and adapting strategies to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Quality Governance: Ensure comprehensive quality governance through hands-on oversight across product teams, maintaining solution efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with product managers, product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
