Job Responsibilities:
• Research & Development:
• Develop and standardize recipes for Indian cuisine items like frozen ready-to-eat meals, gravies, snacks, and other products.
• Experiment with new flavors, textures, and ingredients to create innovative food products.
• Production Coordination:
• Collaborate with production teams to transition developed recipes into scalable manufacturing processes.
• Ensure consistency and quality during production trials and commercialization.
• Product Innovation:
• Stay updated with market trends, customer preferences, and emerging technologies in the food processing industry.
• Innovate with spices, ingredients, and preparation methods to create differentiated products.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance:
• Ensure all recipes meet food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and shelf-life expectations.
• Conduct trials to improve existing recipes for cost-effectiveness and process efficiency.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with other departments such as QA, marketing, and supply chain to align R&D efforts with business objectives.
• Provide technical expertise during customer demonstrations and presentations.
Key Requirements:
• Culinary Expertise: Strong background in Indian cuisine, with a deep understanding of traditional and regional flavors, cooking techniques, and ingredients.
• R&D Experience: Proven experience in developing recipes for the food processing industry, with a focus on frozen and ready-to-eat categories.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of food preservation methods, frozen food technology, and shelf-life enhancement techniques.
• Education: Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Technology, or related fields is preferred.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills for recipe refinement and process optimization.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to document processes and liaise with stakeholders.
