Deliver business value through Right and Fast partnership : R&D Engineer / Scientist II - Adsorbent An excellent career opportunity is currently available for R&D Engineer II, within Honeywell India Technology Center located in Gurgaon, India. This position offers an excellent technical opportunity to grow with development and implementation of improved Adsorbent application in petrochemicals, refining & Gas processing area. This position will apply an understanding of process fundamentals, pilot plant testing, modeling, adsorbent properties, and technology integration to drive innovation in the diverse range of technologies and adsorbent application areas. Roles and Responsibilities: . Lead/Support new product development projects in the area of Adsorbent for contaminant removal applications in Refinery, Petrochemical and Natural Gas processing industries . Independently carry out experiments in laboratory pilot plant/reactor, data analysis and present to global team . Understand fundamentals while working with new project and contribute to ideas with the alignment with business objectives . Support adsorbent bed design guideline tool development programs by working with global R&D and Technical Service team . Stay current on patent and open literature as they relate to Adsorbent development programs . Ensure alignment and synergy with other R&D centers to avoid re-work, minimize duplication and benefit from lessons learned . Utilize six-sigma tools as necessary to implement project work . Performs other related duties as assigned . Maintain compliance with Health Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures and adopt HSE requirements for safe laboratory operations. Basic Candidate Requirements: . M.Sc or PhD in Chemistry/M. Tech/B. Tech in Chemical Engineering with 1-3 years\' experience in adsorbent/heterogeneous catalyst synthesis, characterization, and performance evaluation Additional Candidate Qualifications: Experience in UniSim and ASPEN tool is plus Knowledge of UOP technologies: Refining/Petrochemicals/Gas Processing applications Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong demonstration of teamwork abilities. Ideal candidate should have an aptitude to work in R & D setting and bias for action Ability to travel up to 10% on an annual basis. Familiar with Six-Sigma tools and their application.
