Systems EngineeringGeneral Summary:QCT Multimedia R&D team is looking for a motivated engineer interested in design and implement new speech and audio ML models for headsets, XR devices and other consumer electronics products. You will be working with a team of ML experts to develop advanced noise suppression (NS), adaptive noise cancellation (ANC) and hearing assistive algorithms. The team includes ML experts who are bringing ML based solutions to consumer electronic products. It is a great opportunity to learn how to design ML models which work on products you can buy on stores.Responsibilities:

• Work with R&D engineers to help to design, evaluate, and demo new speech and audio features containing machine learning approaches.
• After successful proof the algorithm performance, you will develop a demo prototype and work with various teams to commercialize the new feature, on this process you will:

• Translate feature requests into sets of engineering requirements.
• Review existing state of the art methods in the literature and propose potential solution directions.
• Train new ML models using PyTorch (preferable) or TensorFlow for the target application.
• Demonstrate effectiveness of proposed solution through performance evaluations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with 2 years of experience or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in electrical engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Coding experience in Python.
• Knowledge of one of the NN training frameworks: PyTorch (preferred) and TensorFlow.
• Familiar with common neural network architectures, namely LSTMs, CNNs, RNNs, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coding experience in Matlab.
• Interested in working with cutting edge applications and learn how to make them products.
• Willing to work in cross disciplinary, geographically dispersed teams.
• Knowledge of traditional signal processing theory on any of the following:
• Active noise control
• Acoustic Echo cancellation and noise suppression
• Adaptive filtering for audio applications

Minimum Qualifications: \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master\'s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
