In the past 20 years, IDC has secured more than 200 international papers and 150+ patents.Mission Statement:Hitachi Energy is looking to expand the R&D teams, with engineers, managers, who can take the technology to the next level. IN-MACH, Chennai, India is one of the R&D centers globally, for HVDC MACH Control Platform, performing Software Development, Testing and Cybersecurity activities. The below position is for the Chennai, India, location.Your Responsibilities:Develop software modules of Highest Quality, On-Time & Efficiently and maintain it continuously, with enhancements, bug fixes etc., for MACH Control SystemBench Testing / Unit testing for the modules developed / modified.Follow the defined processes, throughout the development phases, in full.Collaborate with teams globally, for development and with customers, both Internal & external, professionally.Support & work together with the team, for the developments & future support.Contribute towards continuous improvements, for the products & solutions under development, processes, etc.Living Hitachi Energys core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your Background:Graduate or masters degree in engineering (Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics)More than 5 years of proven experience in embedded software development, with exposure to the complete software development life cycleVery good understanding and hands-on development of embedded technologies - digital signal processing, real time operating systems and/or multi-core systems.Excellent programming capabilities in C, C++Solid knowledge & hands on experience working with Linux.Debugging complex multi-threaded and event-based applications.Very good technical documentation skillsVery good understanding & working with Agile / scrum process. (SAFe is an added advantage).Very good understanding & working with GIT repository.Experience working with virtualization technologies - Hypervisors, ContainersWorking knowledge in scripting languages like Python, shell etc.Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
