Job Description
:
Responsibilities:• Review and verify the accuracy of charge documents before entry.
• Enter charges into the billing system accurately and efficiently.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and coding issues.
• Initiate and handle payer calls for escalated billing inquiries and disputes.
• Collaborate with coding and clinical staff to ensure accurate charge capture.
• Assist in developing and implementing process improvements for charge entry.
• Mentor and train Level 1 associates on advanced billing procedures.
• Generate reports and analyze data to monitor charge entry performance.
Requirements:• Associate degree in healthcare administration or related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management.
• Proficiency in medical billing software and coding systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
