JOB DESCRIPTIONPositionRail Alignment & Track Design EngineerLocationChennaiQualificationM.Tech (Transportation) (or) Equivalent in Railway Engineering from reputed UniversityExperience1) 5 years of demonstrated professional experience on rail projects2) Should have involved as a team member in completing at least one major project from concept to design approvals / commissioning3) Knowledge of IRPWM (INDIAN RAILWAYS4) PERMANENT WAY MANUAL), IRS (Indian Railway Standards) and / (or) other international standards5) (AREMA - American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association, FRA-Federal Rail Road administration, DOT xe2x80x93 Department of Transportation, British Standards)6) Design permanent way for railway in accordance with client requirements7) Horizontal and vertical alignment design and reporting. Different modes (Light rail to freight) and different design stages (concept to detail)8) Development of track alignment, profile, and associated grading plus drainage9) Assessment of rail vehicle / infrastructure clearances10) Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills11) Excellent oral and written communication skills12) Strong focus on client service13) Ability to assemble plan sets meeting client expectationsRole Requirement1) As a vital member of our team, youxe2x80x99ll have the opportunity to design horizontal and vertical track alignments.2) Wexe2x80x99ll ask you to draw from your engineering expertise to provide review of various design drawings and prepare pre-construction cost estimates for rail projects.3) Working alongside a team, youxe2x80x99ll be responsible for creating drawings and simulations using software tools and resources supporting our clientsxe2x80x99 overall project goals.4) Also, by assisting in field inspections, monitoring construction site for contract compliance and safety parameters- youxe2x80x99ll ensure wexe2x80x99re doing better together!
