The Radiologist is responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries using medical imaging techniques such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and nuclear medicine. Key Responsibilities:
Imaging Interpretation: Analyze and interpret medical images to diagnose conditions and prepare detailed reports.
Patient Care: Review medical histories, explain procedures to patients, and collaborate with referring physicians.
Procedural Involvement: Perform image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Technology Management: Operate and maintain imaging equipment, and stay updated with technological advancements.
Collaboration: Work with healthcare professionals and participate in team meetings.
Quality Assurance: Adhere to safety standards and participate in quality assurance programs.
Research and Education: Engage in research, stay current with medical advancements, and mentor medical students and residents.
Qualifications:
Education: Medical degree (MD or DO).
Licensure: Valid medical license.
Certification: Board certification in Radiology.
Experience: Completed radiology residency; fellowship training preferred.
Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in imaging equipment.
