The Radiologist is responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries using medical imaging techniques such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and nuclear medicine. Key Responsibilities:
- Imaging Interpretation: Analyze and interpret medical images to diagnose conditions and prepare detailed reports.
- Patient Care: Review medical histories, explain procedures to patients, and collaborate with referring physicians.
- Procedural Involvement: Perform image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Technology Management: Operate and maintain imaging equipment, and stay updated with technological advancements.
- Collaboration: Work with healthcare professionals and participate in team meetings.
- Quality Assurance: Adhere to safety standards and participate in quality assurance programs.
- Research and Education: Engage in research, stay current with medical advancements, and mentor medical students and residents.
- Education: Medical degree (MD or DO).
- Licensure: Valid medical license.
- Certification: Board certification in Radiology.
- Experience: Completed radiology residency; fellowship training preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in imaging equipment.
