And you\'ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.Amazon Data Services India Private Limited is looking for a Rack Decommissioning Data Technician to join our growing team in India. The Decommissioning Technical team is responsible for processing and facilitating large scale legacy Data Center equipment through a liquidation process to ensure that targeted equipment is ready to be removed from our facilities in India. Team members will also process large volumes of media containing customer data to ensure that all customer data is sanitised and protected.You will work in a team environment collaborating with other teams, which requires strong communication skills. Amazon Data Centers treat customer data with the utmost importance; selected candidates must be able to perform repetitive tasks without variance and adhere to strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that ensure customer data is protected and handled properly.Responsibilities:
\xc2\xb7 Processing legacy hardware out of the data center facilities in India
\xc2\xb7 Moving large enterprise equipment
\xc2\xb7 Lift up to 49lbs and participate in team lifts of 50+ lbs
\xc2\xb7 Hard drive removal and destruction
\xc2\xb7 Creating/attaching labels and barcodes
\xc2\xb7 Updating progress through a web ticketing systems
\xc2\xb7 Documenting procedures
\xc2\xb7 Escalating concerns to senior technicians and managers as needed/required
\xc2\xb7 Work with basic PC components and hardware:
o HDD/SSD/Flash/Removable storage media
o USB/FireWire/EsataKey job responsibilities

- Bachelor\'s degree in information technology or computer science
- Knowledge of IT system hardware and network conceptsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
