Work you\'ll do

In our Financial Risk Advisory team you\'ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectation.

Practice & role overview

Deloitte\'s Financial Risk practice provides risk management solutions to banks, financial institutions and corporate clients. The operational risk management and Enterprise risk management focuses on providing qualitative services to clients in areas of development of risk policies, frameworks, risk indicators and scorecards

You Role:

Function: Operational Risk

Responsibilities:

• Assess operational risk incidents using methods such as root cause analysis and consult with business to develop corrective action plans.
• Oversee implementation progress and conduct validation efforts as required.
• Coordinate with business and support partners for creation of Self-Disclosed issues in Issues Management system of record. Record losses in the system of record, as applicable.
• Identify Evidence Based Control Evaluation needs and collaborate with the business and EBCE team.

Essential Qualification/Certification/Skills :

• 5+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management)
• Financial services industry experience with direct experience in risk management demonstrated through work.
• University degree in Business, Finance or related discipline
• Strong Operational risk domain knowledge/experience
• Good communication Skills
• Strong written communication
• Attention to detail & critical deadlines
• Ability to organize & manage large book of issues/incidents with competing deadlines & priorities
• Sound knowledge of MS Office especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Certification in Risk Management such as ORM/FRM/CISA is desirable

Academic qualifications

MBA or equivalent Master\'s degree in Finance from premier institutes required. Graduates (B.Com or equivalent) with relevant experience can also be considered.

• Ability to work comfortably at the highest levels of client organizations and interacting closely with high level executives in a range of environments.
• Comfortable functioning in a broadly positioned role in a highly diverse service lines working across industry verticals. Must possess an impressive executive demeanor, a team oriented and collaborative approach, and excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities
• Committed, hardworking individuals willing to spend hours on research
• The individual must possess and demonstrate high integrity and credibility as perceived by all those with whom s/he will work
• Strong intellect coupled with proficient commercial instincts
• Diplomatic, flexible and have a good team approach.
