JOB DESCRIPTION DGM Design ROLE DESCRIPTION This role will be responsible for the design & development of Mechanical systems of Quick interchange stations (QIS) - Structure, mechanisms, style engineering and product integration from concept to launch. You will also be responsible for designing the solution based on various principles for ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency etc. QUALIFICATION A graduate of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering with at least 8 years of work experience in design industry along with Minimum of 1 year in Material Handling domain, Material movement industry, Automotive and Appliance, Electromechanical equipment, etc. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Creating technical requirements from Marketing/ Business requirements. Create multiple /Alternate concepts of components and product. Develop and maintain mechanical parts and assemblies includes design with good knowledge of 3D modeling and 2D detailed layouts using CAD software like, Creo etc. Handle assigned projects, components & big assemblies with ownership & end to end responsibility. Should handle all design activities like, mockups, builds. PREFERRED SKILLS Expert Knowledge of Plastics & Sheet Metal component designs. Should be experienced & knowledge of problem-solving techniques, root cause analysis and provide solutions where required. Design of Battery / EV charging systems is an added advantage. Experience on Creo software for 3D modeling and detailing is mandatory. Must have experience working on parts / assemblies, concept prototyping to Launch with all cross functions like, manufacturing, procurement, supply Chain, quality etc. Must be capable of handling electro-mechanical complex systems. Must have experience in defining tests for verification & validation. Should be experienced in creating and handle documents relate to processes like, DFMEA, DVP, DFA, DFM, prototyping etc. Knowledge and experience of GD & T and hand on Tolerance stack UP.
