for a Quantity Surveyor (Fresher Diploma)
A Quantity Surveyor is responsible for the following tasks :
- Analyzing Budgets: Reviewing existing budgets and making improvements.
- Preparing Quantity Estimates: Reviewing plans and preparing quantity estimates.
- Negotiating Contracts: Negotiating with various contractors and vendors.
- Building Relationships: Building relationships with clients and site managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing Construction Plans: Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
- Cost Scrutiny: Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
- Liaising with Stakeholders: Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Preparing Reports: Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
- Advising Managers and Clients: Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, management, or similar.
- Experience: Construction estimating or finance experience is advantageous.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of Construction: Sound knowledge of construction.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license.
- Networking Abilities: Great networking abilities.
