We are looking for an individual with 1 to 4 years of experience and a technical background to join our Wholesale Credit Risk team in Mumbai, partner directly with our model developers and play a key role in ensuring the production of quality model documents. The team works directly with a wide breadth of model developers and reviewers, as well as implementation, production, and business teams across numerous types of financial products and modeling techniques.

The documentation team is responsible for organizing and maintaining the Inventory, quality assurance, distribution and retrieval of the Wholesale Credit Risk (WSC - QR) suit of model documents. This comprises a mix of real-time documentation effort and skillful cataloging of historical and existing documents, ensuring compliance to internal documentation standards and external regulatory requirements. The team also ensures that the documents convey complex financial and quantitative issues in a lucid manner.

Job responsibilities:

  • Partner directly with model developers and play a key role in ensuring the quality check and submission of model documents and related reference documents;
  • Develop and manage a detailed model documentation plan, Set up the infrastructure for new model reviews, including SharePoint folders, model documentation templates, and PREP system entries
  • Ensure the proper archiving of older model documents, Ensure adherence to applicable policies, procedures and controls
  • Engage with project managers to ensure timely model document completion, and submission to internal reviewers and to internal/external auditors;
  • Provide individual model documentation coaching, as needed, Prepare a Wholesale Credit Risk QC newsletter biannually
  • Present the model documentation training module annually, Maintain Visual Basic macros in MS Word
  • Improve documentation processes and systems
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • You understand the different types of risk and you can discuss in general ways of managing these risks;
  • You\'re interested in documenting the details estimation methodology of risk measurement and management;, You have strong proficiency in MS Word and English grammar and organizational skills;
  • Your detailed oriented mindset will assist you in ensuring that all potential documentation gaps are closed before document are submitted; You have ability to manage and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • You appreciate the opportunity to learn and know about various financial/banking products; You\'re attentive to detail and easily adaptable; You have strong interpersonal skills - you listen and communicate in a direct, succinct manner;
  • You have a Technical, Business or Liberal Arts degree; 2+ years technical or technical writing experience; You have basic understanding of statistics
  • Desirables - Project management experience; Financial services experience; Basic understanding of the model life cycle; Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visual Basic, Python; Experience maintaining SharePoint and shared drive sites; Basic system design skills; Experience writing newsletters or marketing materials
