:The Corrections and Remediations Analytics - Center of Excellence (CoE) performs data analysis to identify customers impacted by process or operational breaks throughout the firm. This CoE supports Auto Finance, Business Banking, Consumer Banking, Credit Card, Merchant Services, and Wealth Management. Analysts benefit from unique exposure to various products and teams across J.P. Morgan Chase.As a Quantitative Analytics Analyst on the Remediation & Corrections team, you will be crucial in identifying, classifying, and resolving customer impacts stemming from business process or operational disruptions at JP Morgan Chase. This role involves addressing affected customers by recalculating and crediting finance charges, fees, and processing account adjustments to rectify account issues. To succeed, you must be highly motivated, analytical, detail-oriented, and an outstanding problem solver who takes pride in managing customer issues comprehensively and delivering exceptional service.Job responsibilitiesAs a Quant Analytics Analyst in this role you will:

  • Use SAS & SQL skills to query databases and research to identify correction population, financials and create execution files using accounts, customer, and transaction level data.
  • Ensure analytics steps are accurate through attention to detail and supporting the independent validation team with understanding case requirements and code.
  • Use SAS macros or another tool to automate analytics steps which are repetitive between cases.
  • Develop skills and upskill to languages like Python etc. and deepen data knowledge to support closure of projects, ensure correct data is being supplied to stakeholders, deliver analytical requirements per the requirements documents and provide best-in-class analytics.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders like Project Managers, Business Analysts etc. across the firm to understand the context of cases including the issue and then use analytic techniques to carry out requirements (which requires translating high-level requirements into steps) and drive Analytics and Insights.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience, Bachelor's Degree in Math, Statistics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field
  • Prior experience with SAS and another programming language, e.g. Python, R, SQL, Java
  • Data Wrangling: Able to query data from multiple sources with considerations for null values or required manipulations/aggregation
  • Data Mining: Identify insights and anomalies within data
  • Logical reasoning - translating plain English requirements into codes and driving analytical insights out of it
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Proficiency with standard MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Flexible individual who can easily and efficiently transition across topics and disciplines.
  • Adept at multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrates personal dedication and strong work ethic, sets high standards for self with a strong willingness to learn and take feedback.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to synthesize data and information into executive summaries, briefs and/or reports.
  • Understanding of data infrastructure in a financial services organization will be a plus. JPMC Product or Database knowledge and experience preferred.
